About Humber College
Humber College provides a 2-year Esthetician &Spa Management diploma program. As part of the Longo Faculty of Business, students acquire business management and vocational skills needed for a successful career in esthetics and spa management.
Students learn the fundamentals of business administration through studies that include business writing, marketing and social media, new business development, human resource management, spa operations and essential business software applications. Hands-on practical courses focus on foundational esthetic skills such as hand and foot care, facial techniques, waxing, body treatments and cosmetic makeup applications. The program curriculum also includes advanced therapies and practical skills of medical esthetics; which includes chemical peels, microdermabrasion, OxyGeneo, RF, LED, Laser and Intense Pulse Light (IPL).
Practical skills development is a priority, and ensured through the curriculum and design of the fully equipped lab classrooms. Students will develop their practical skills in the simulated work environment of The Humber Spa. Working under the guidance of qualified and experienced spa professionals, students will manage the daily operations of the spa including spa reservations and customer service; retail management; sales and marketing; and providing spa treatment and services to the community.
