Considering QA Membership? Here’s a Quick Overview

Leading Spas of Canada would like to thank Jennifer Harrington, Sales Manager at Hammam Spa by Céla, for this Blog contribution.

Wellness is the top priority, now more than ever. In this day-to-day changing pandemic, we are continuing to ask ourselves, how do we stay safe? If you are in the personal service industry you are wondering how to keep yourself and your clients safe.

While a lot has changed, the QA Membership Program has remained by giving top-grade cleaning standards.

Created by Medical Professionals and spa industry experts, the Quality Assurance program was created to provide health and sanitization guidelines, and strict governing and operational practices. The Certification Program provides a detailed and current set of criteria on safety and operations for all spas, as well as education and training to protect your staff and clients. There are standards that must be met resulting in a strict pass or fail, no matter your size or establishment offerings.  Since Quality Assurance is an ongoing process, not just a final approval, Hammam Spa by Céla has used it as the hygiene standard at both of our busy Toronto locations for years.

Before Canadian Spas were forced to shut down in 2020 due to COVID-19, Hammam Spa saw over nine hundred people per week and employed a staff of over fifty people. Having The Quality Assurance program behind us, we knew Hammam Spa would be a clean, sterile environment for all to relax in and restore balance into their lives. Many of the new hygiene protocols set out by regional health units were already set in place at our spa, this meant our staff felt safe and ready to welcome back client- they even felt confident in informing our clients of the measures we had in place to protect them. All of our clients have been pleased to learn of these measures, as it makes them feel at ease while on their wellness journey during a global pandemic.

The Quality Assurance program will benefit your spa by helping to educate, inform and protect staff while providing the ultimate standard of care.
