Christopher Halpin is a chef from a family of chefs. His parents met in the kitchens of Chateau Lake Louse in the 1940’s and food has been a family passion ever since. Chef Halpin opened his first restaurant at the age of 25 back in 1990. He then sold the establishment in 1995 to move to Calgary where he has made it his home.
He opened a highly respected catering company, Manna Catering Services, and started teaching culinary arts at a local cooking school, to quickly become one of Calgary’s most popular chefs. He has collaborated on an internationally distributed cookbook and is regularly quoted in local newspapers and magazines articles, as well as making frequent appearances on television. He travels extensively, always looking at how the world interacts with food.
