Ancient Secrets has partnered exclusively with experienced harvesters that have been working with the harvesting of this Pacific seaweed since 1982 using specialized procedures and equipment to ensure no harm to the environment and also proper extraction methods are used. The Harvesters have been recognized for their support of the local aboriginal people, sustainable harvesting and all seaweed is hand pruned by experienced aboriginal divers.

Don’t Be fooled –  Other seaweed products can be inferior if they are not using the correct methods for harvesting. Seaweed collected off the beach or floating in the water that have left the ocean beds are often decomposing, inferior and can be highly contaminated, as contamination and pollutants increase closer to shore.

Processing – We use only cold processing ( a patented method and not the same as cold pressing) to gently liquefy the seaweed without the use of any heat or chemicals thereby maintaining all of the seaweeds nutritional value. The seaweed is collected directly from the ocean beds when it is at is freshest state. Other procedures used by other companies can often cause degradation of the seaweed properties.

Protecting the Eco-System –  Our seaweed is one of the fastest growing kelp plants in the Pacific Coast and once picked the portion grows back within just a few days!. Due to this there is no disruption of the eco-system or to the ocean life that rely on the seaweed for food.
