(Victoria, BC) September 12, 2008 - Easier to navigate and consumer-oriented, the new Leading Spas of Canada website www.leadingspasofcanada.com debuts the end of September.
Consumers need the confidence that the spa they have chosen is safe and can provide a quality spa experience. That it is reputable and provides value for money. And more and more people are turning to the internet as a reliable source for finding just the right spa for their needs.
As a communications tool, nothing is more valuable in today's internet savvy society than a well-designed, easy-to-use and informative website. Together with Trapeze Communications, in Victoria, B.C., Leading Spas of Canada has developed its new, consumer-oriented website that promises to be the definitive and primary source of information for spa-goers and spa professionals alike.
The Canadian spa industry continues to grow at an unprecedented 15+% per annum. To date there are 2,800 hotel/resort, destination, mineral springs, day and medical spas in Canada and, of these, many do not meet the high standards demanded of Leading Spas of Canada members. With no national regulations governing the industry, Leading Spas of Canada, from its beginning in 1998, recognized the need for a unified set of Standards and Practices and a Code of Ethics that would distinguish its members from their (not always competent) competitors. In raising the bar, LSC has attracted the best spas this country has to offer.
These often extraordinary spas from across the country have joined with product suppliers, schools and other spa professionals to support the growth and development of Canada's spa industry. As an association, LSC has committed to providing the public access to and information about its members in an effort to broadcast the message that Canada's spa experience is second to none.
The new Leading Spas of Canada website will be the single most important vehicle in delivering that message.
