Darlene Fiske is a dynamic, results-orientated marketing and communications professional with more than 14 years experience in marketing, branding, media relations and publicity. She is the owner of an award-winning communications firm in Austin, Texas, The Fiske Group: Public Relations and Marketing Strategies. A  boutique public relations agency, The Fiske Group specializes in strategic communications while delivering aggressive, personalized, senior-level service.

Before starting her own business in 2006, Fiske worked as the Director of Sales & Marketing for Lake Austin Spa Resort where she was responsible for overseeing the sales and marketing efforts targeting the top 1% of affluent consumers in the United States.  She currently teaches a course at the University of California Irvine’s Online Extension titled “Public Relations for the Hospitality Industry” where she will bring real-world experiences into an online learning environment. She has consulted with her clients on social media strategy and is an early adopter of Twitter and Facebook. 

Her writing has been published in Skin, Inc. magazine, an award-winning spa industry trade publication, and in Pulse, the official publication of the International Spa Association.  She writes on a variety of topics from the benefits of treatment ingredients to multi-generational marketing.  Fiske has presented on a variety of marketing related topics including social media at the International Spa Association Annual Conferences and at the American Spa Expo on Marketing to the Affluent.
