About Angela Cortright:

Angela CortrightMrs. Cortright is a proven innovator and leader who has been able to apply her knowledge and skills across diverse industries.  She was an instrumental player in the early years of the Personal Computer industry, helping to define distribution channels, marketing programs, and product alliances.  Helping in key management roles in the early, critical years of this emerging market, she is and was a recognized expert in the Personal Computer industry and has been invited to speak at numerous industry conferences.  More recently, she has applied those same skills and visionary talent in another emerging market – that of the Spa industry.
 
Since 1998, when Angela and her husband founded Spa Gregorie’s, Cortright has successfully led Spa Gregorie’s into the forefront of the Southern California spa scene.  With combined leadership and marketing skill, she has brought Spa Gregorie’s to the top of industry standards for revenues, profits, client and staff retention, and retail sales.  She is often sought out by industry conferences as well as journalists to share the innovations Spa Gregories has brought to the industry.  Spa Gregorie’s has been featured on E! Entertainment, Showtime, CNN, Channel 9, Fox News, ABC News, NBC news, and in many professional and consumer publications.  Spa Gregorie’s was voted best Day Spa by The Orange County Register, Best Day Spa by American Spa Magazine, Best Facial/Massage/and Day Spa by CitySearch, Best Day Spa by Squeeze OC, Best of the Best from Skin Inc., Best Spa from DaySpa magazine, Best Day spa from Yelp.com, and most importantly, won Humanitarian of the Year award from the Women’s Cancer Research Foundation for their significant charity work.
 
Prior to founding Spa Gregorie’s, Cortright’s career was focused in the technology sector.  Most notable achievement here was founding and bringing public a company recognized as a leader in CD ROM publishing, Graphix Zone (from 1989 – 1996). Graphix Zone published, produced, and distributed over 100 CD ROM titles which were sold world-wide.  She and her husband and management team achieved a successful Initial Public Offering (IPO) in 1994 and ultimately merged the company with a division of Time-Warner.

Preceding her tenure at Graphix Zone, Cortright was Senior Director of Marketing of AST research (from 1984 – 1987), one the top 10 Personal Computer companies in the 1980’s.  Starting with the company when it was little more than a startup, she led its marketing department as it became a $1 Billion corporation and a member of the Fortune 500.
 
Cortright began her career at IBM in sales of its Office Products, and spent 3 years as Senior Industry Manager for MSI data, a barcode scanning technology company.
