Leading Spas of Canada partners with International Spa Association to secure Canadian spa industry research
Leading Spas of Canada (LSC) is pleased to announce a new research initiative to provide information on the current status of the spa industry in Canada. During the months of September and October, LSC will be partnering with the International Spa Association (ISPA) on their popular “Snapshot Surveys” to secure a glimpse into the industry as reflected by the responses of the association members. Customized surveys are created on different areas of interest each month and issued to spas, suppliers and resource partners. The responses are collected and compiled into a report, then made available immediately to the membership to provide guideposts for their business.
“As Canada’s national spa association, it’s imperative we have an understanding of what the industry is experiencing coast to coast. The time required to analyze and extract data from traditional research projects is always lengthy. Snapshot Surveys allow the results to be secured and compiled almost immediately; and with the constant changes and dynamic nature of the current business landscape, immediacy is incredibly valuable”, advises Donna Holtom, President of Leading Spas of Canada.
For the months of September and October, Snapshot Surveys will be issued to both Leading Spas of Canada members and ISPA members. The full results will be tabulated for an international scope, and Canadian responses will then be extracted and evaluated allowing for a glimpse into the Canadian industry, with appropriate comparison figures to international spas as well.
September Survey will be issued on Friday, September 18 with the topic of Education & Training. October will feature the seasonal Quarterly Financial Performance survey.
This is ISPA’s first foray into partnering with another association on Snapshot Surveys, and Leading Spas of Canada is excited to be part of this pilot project, recognizing ISPA as a leader in spa industry research, renowned for providing statistics and business information to members and the media. “We recognize the need for timely up-to-the-minute information and the ISPA member Snapshot Surveys have allowed us to keep a pulse on what’s currently going on within the industry. Everything from how the economy is affecting spa business to treatments offered is covered”, notes ISPA President Lynne McNees.
All LSC and ISPA members are strongly encouraged to participate in these upcoming surveys to ensure their success and relevant results. “I complete each monthly survey when it arrives”, says Wanda Love, CEO of Leading Spas of Canada. “As an active participant you receive the full survey results which are invaluable as a planning tool, as well as to realign strategies and initiatives to meet the current needs”.
